Summer Scotland Loves Anime Tour (Updated)

Running through Aberdeen, Aberfeldy, Bo'ness, Dundee, Dumfries, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness.

Scotland Loves Anime has announced it will be running a 'summer tour' of anime screenings until the end of June, visiting eight venues. From the announcement: 'Expect films like Redline, Patema Inverted, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Blue Exorcist: The Movie on the big screen throughout the summer with guests at select screenings too!'

The anime critic Jonathan Clements, who regularly hosts Scotland Loves Anime at GLASGOW and Edinburgh, will appear at Dumfries, Inverness and other venues. Other guests are TBC.

The venues are:

Belmont Filmhouse, Aberdeen

Birks Cinema, Aberfeldy - the link is to a double-bill of Akira and Wolf Children on Sunday May 11, starting at 5.45 p.m.

Hippodrome, Bo'ness - this venue lists a screening of Patema Inverted on May 31 at 2.30 p.m.

Dundee Contemporary Arts - the venue lists screenings of Blue Exorcist the Movie on May 21 at 6 p.m. and Patema Inverted on May 28 at 6 p.m. (The same cinema will be showing Hayao Miyazaki's The Wind Rises between May 16 and May 22.)

Robert Burns Centre Film Theatre, Dumfries - the venue lists screenings of Patema Inverted on May 9 at 7.30 p.m. and Evangelion 3.0: You Can (Not) Redo on June 2 at 6.30 p.m. The latter screening will be introduced by Jonathan Clements.

Edinburgh Filmhouse - the venue lists Redline on May 10 at 3.45 p.m. and Blue Exorcist the Movie on May 11 at 3.30 p.m.
