Puzzle & Dragon Mobile Game Adds Saint Seiya Characters

The Puzzle & Dragons mobile game will add characters from Masami Kurumada's Saint Seiya series to promote the upcoming Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary CG film. The game will add Pegasus Seiya, Dragon shiryu, Cygnus Hyoga, Andromeda Shun, and Phoenix Ikki as playable characters and Gold Saints Taurus Aldebaran, Scorpio Milo, Cancer Deathmask, and Gemini Saga as monsters.

Saint Seiya characters can be grouped in parties with previous promotional characters, like Goku from Dragon Ball Z Kai and Rei from Evangelion.
The original Puzzle & Dragons is a social puzzle game for iOS and Android devices. Gung Ho Online Entertainment released the "puzzle RPG" in Japan in February 2012, and in the U.S. in November 2012. The game has more than 12 million downloads in Japan, and won the top award at the Mobile Project Award 2012, and the top award in game design at the CEDEC Awards 2012. Gung Ho released the Nintendo 3DS port of the game in Japan last December.
The Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary film will open in Japan on June 21. It will also play in Mexico and Peru this year.
