Kadokawa began streaming the first promotional video for Kyoto Animation's anime adaptation of Shoji Gatoh's Amagi Brilliant Park light novel series on Wednesday. The video first premiered at the Comic Market 86 event over the weekend, and features the opening theme song "Extra Magic Hours" by AKINO with Bless4.
The series will star:
Kouki Uchiyama (Soul Eater Not!, Haikyu!!, Nisekoi) as Seiya Kanie
Additional cast includes:
- Shiori Mikami as Kobori
- Ryoko Shiraishi as Macaron
- Tomoyo Kurosawa as Sylphy
- Ayako Kawasumi as Moffle
- Yuka Aisaka as Muse
- Minami Tsuda as Salama
- Ai Nonaka as Tirami
The "slapstick drama" begins with Seiya Kanie, a high school boy who is invited on a date in an amusement park by a mysterious beautiful transfer student named Isuzu Sento. He is introduced to Latifah, a "real" princess and the park's manager, and is asked to be the acting manager of this "disappointing amusement park in the Tokyo suburbs."
Gatoh (Full Metal Panic!) started the series with illustrations by Yuka Nakajima (Listen to Me, Girls. I Am Your Father!/Papa Kiki!) last year, and Fantasia Bunko published the third volume in January. Yasuhiro Takemoto (Full Metal Panic!, Lucky Star, Hyōka) is directing the anime. AKINO with Bless4 (Aquarion themes) will perform the opening "Extra Magic Hours."
