Disgaea 5 Unveiled for PS4 Next Spring

Nippon Ichi Software announced during Sony's SCEJA Press Conference 2014 on Monday that it will offer the latest entry in the Disgaea franchise, Makai Senki Disgaea 5, on the PlayStation 4 console next spring.
NIS America had previously confirmed that its parent company had plans to make Disgaea 5 in 2012. Nippon Ichi's series of comedic strategy role-playing games take place in a fictional universe of various netherworlds. However, the trailer that NIS showed at Monday's press conference indicated a more serious tone for Disgaea 5.
The franchise spawned four console mothership titles, the spin-off Makai Kingdom, and the PSP Prinny hack-and-slash games. The series has also been adapted into an anime in 2006 and multiple manga series.
