Hanabee Announces New Acquisitions and Updates Online Streaming

Hanabee announced new streaming titles on Friday the 29th of May as their May update for Hanabee.com.au online streaming. This included new acquisition Brynhildr in the Darkness alongside anohana and Kids on the Slope, all three series are available in full right now for streaming as follows;

- Kids on the Slope - 12 Episodes [Watch Now!]
And today Hanabee has announced the acquisition of Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse. The first part of this release will be hitting home video on Blu-ray and DVD on the 23rd of July 2015 and have the first 12 episodes of Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse in both English dub and Japanese Audio with English subtitles.
Finally in the same update Hanabee has stated that due to production issues both the Revolutionary Girl Utena Collection and SoniAni: Super Sonico the Animation home video release have slipped from June 3rd to July 23rd. Hanabee will still release The Familiar of Zero: Rondo of Princesses on the 3rd of June as planned.
Brynhildr in the Darkness
When he was a child, Murakami was friends with a girl he called Kuroneko. One day, while trying to prove the existence of aliens to Murakami, she is killed in an accident that he barely survives. Guilty of his role in the accident, Murokami decides to dedicate his life to proving that aliens exist. Then, one day, a new student with mysterious powers transfers into his class who not only looks a lot like Kuroneko, but is named Kuroha, Neko.
Brynhildr in the Darkness is a manga by the creator of Elfen Lied and Nononono, Lynn Okamoto. Studio ARMS (MAOYU, Queen's Blade) animated this adaptation and Kenichi Imaizumi (Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, Student Council's Discretion Level 2) directed the anime off scripts by Yukinori Kitajima (428 ~Fūsa Sareta Shibuya de~, Senran Kagura, Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Hamatora). Hiroaki Karasu (episode animation director on Gatchaman Crowds, Kimikiss pure rouge) served as character designer and chief animation director. Nao Tokisawa scored the soundtrack.
Brynhildr in the Darkness premiered in April 2014. Okamoto began the manga in Young Jump in 2011 and Shueisha has published the 13 volumes to date. The anime was streamed by Crunchyroll as it aired and licensed by Sentai Filmworks in October 2014.
Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse
Yūya Bridges is a Japanese-American test pilot for the United Nations Forces' Tactical Surface Fighter Testing Unit in Alaska. His work as main pilot for the Argos Test Team's "XFJ Project" means testing the latest Tatical Surface Fighter. Yui Takamura (Mai Nakahara) is the head of development for the project from the Japanese Empire's side.
Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse is an adaptation of the novel of the same name itself a spinoff of the 2006 visual novel software Muv-Luv Alternative from the adult game company Age. Takayuki Inagaki (Desert Punk, Rosario + Vampire) directed the project at the studios Ixtl x Satelight. Yumiko Hara (Baby Princess 3D Paradise 0 [Love]) designed the characters.
Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse premiered in Japan in July 2012. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan and Sentail Filmworks licenced the series last September. MVM will release the series in the UK in August.
Last week it was announced that Schwarzes Marken, another Muv-Luv spinoff novel will have an anime adaptation. Hiroki Uchida wrote the novel's scenario and CARNELIAN designed the characters and provided illustrations. Age's Hirohiko Yoshida is credited as the original creator. The novel ran for 41 chapters from 2011 to 2014 and was compiled into seven volumes. It was succeeded by the Schwarzes Marken Requiem light novel series by the same author and artist.
