Ghibli Veterans' 'Summer Train!' Ad for JR West Streamed

The West Japan Railway Company (JR West) began streaming a 15-second commercial for its "Natsu ga Zoku Zoku! Natsu Kazoku! Summer Train!" (Summer is Thrilling! Summer Family! Summer Train!) campaign on Tuesday. The commercial shows a family taking a JR West bullet train line for their summer vacation.
Grandpa Susumu: Hey, what's wrong?
Daughter Sakura: I wonder if the whales are swimming. Maybe the dolphins?
Sakura: Summer is thrilling! Summer family!
Everyone: JR Summer Train!
Studio Ponoc produced the commercial. Studio Ghibli producer Yoshiaki Nishimura (The Tale of the Princess Kaguya, When Marnie Was There) is credited as the commercial's producer, while veteran Ghibli animator Yoshiyuki Momose (key animator for Porco Rosso, Spirited Away, Tales from Earthsea) serves as animation director and director. Yūgo Kanno (Psycho-Pass, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, Library War) composed the music.
Nishimura took over as producer for Studio Ghibli films after Ghibli co-founder Toshio Suzuki retired in March 2014.
