Discotek Adds Hana Yori Dango, 07-Ghost, Beelzebub, Kyousougiga, Getter Robo: Armageddon, Z/X Ignition, Karate Master

North American home video distributor Discotek Media announced on Thursday that it will release the Hana Yori Dango television anime and movie, 07-Ghost television anime, Beelzebub television anime, Kyousougiga anime, Getter Robo: Armageddon video anime, Z/X Ignition television anime, and Karate Master (Karate Baka Ichidai) television anime. It also announced that it will release Space Adventure Cobra - The Movie and The Venus Wars anime film on Blu-ray Disc (after releasing them on DVD), and it confirmed the release schedules of other titles.
The TV anime of Yōko Kamio's shōjo school romance manga Hana Yori Dango (Boys Over Flowers) premiered in 1996. Discotek will offer the complete series as well as the 1997 anime film on DVD with both dub and subtitles. Viz Media previously released the series on DVD from 2003 to 2005.
The 07-Ghost TV anime premiered in 2009, adapting Yuki Amemiya and Yukino Ichihara's fantasy drama manga of the same name. Discotek aims to offer the complete series on DVD in 2016. Crunchyroll streamed the series.
The TV anime of Ryūhei Tamura's supernatural action comedy manga Beelzebub premiered in 2011. Discotek aims to offer the complete series on DVD in 2016. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
The Kyousougiga TV anime premiered in 2013, after first debuting as a series of web anime episodes in 2011 and 2012. Discotek aims to offer the anime on DVD and Blu-ray in 2016. Crunchyroll streamed the television series as it aired in Japan.
The 1998 Getter Robo: Armageddon original video anime series is based on the Getter Robo giant robot manga and anime series. ADV released the series in North America in 2001. Discotek aims to offer the anime on DVD and Blu-ray in 2016.
The Z/X Ignition TV anime, based on Ichi Software's trading card game Z/X Zillions of enemy X, premiered in January 2014. Discotek aims to offer the complete series on DVD in November. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
The 47-episode Karate Master (Karate Baka Ichidai) TV anime series premiered in Japan in 1973. Discotek did not announce details regarding the anime's release.
Discotek previously released the 1982 Space Adventure Cobra - The Movie anime film on DVD in August 2012, and will re-release the film on Blu-ray in December.

Discotek also confirmed the release schedules of some of its previously announced titles. Both the Lupin III vs. Detective Conan special and movie are slated for October 23, and Arpeggio of Blue Steel is slated for October 27. Night on the Galactic Railroad and Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas are slated for November, while Library War is slated for November 4. Discotek is aiming to release the Yowamushi Pedal series in December, followed by Wicked City in January.
