Japanese Pop Group fhána, Voice Actress Unit Kato*Fuku to Attend Anime Weekend Atlanta

Voice actresses Emiri Katō, Kaori Fukuhara to perform mini concert at September convention

Lantis announced on Tuesday that Japanese pop group fhána will perform for the first time in the U.S. during Anime Weekend Atlanta. They will hold their performance at the Cobb Galleria Centre on September 26. fhána will also participate in the convention's opening ceremonies on September 25, and will also have a meet-and-greet and photo opportunity session.

fhána formed in 2012, and is composed of three music composers — Junichi Sato, yuxuki waga, and Kevin Mitsunaga — as well as the group's vocalist, towana. The group has performed theme songs for anime such as The Eccentric Family, Witch Craft Works, Celestial Method, and Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 2wei Herz!. The group will also perform image songs as well as the opening theme song for the upcoming Comet Lucifer original anime. The group released their latest album, Outside of Melancholy, on February 4.

Additionally, Crunchyroll announced on Friday that the voice actress unit Kato*Fuku will also attend the convention as Crunchyroll's special guest. The two will attend autograph sessions and host a mini-concert.

Kato*Fuku is made up of voice actresses Emiri Katō and Kaori Fukuhara. The actresses became friends while working on Lucky Star together. As the unit Kato*Fuku, they performed the ending theme song "You Gotta Love Me!" for the When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace television anime series. The group released their second album with in Japan in January 2014, and they released their third single "You Gotta Love Me!" in November 2014.

Aside from voicing Lucky Star's Kagami Hiiragi, Katō has also voiced Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya's Tatsuko Gakumazawa, Black Butler's Meirin, Madoka Magica's Kyubey, and Yuruyuri's Sakurako Ōmuro, among others. Fukuhara, aside from voicing Lucky Star's Tsukasa Hiiragi, has also voiced Saki's Koromo Amae, The Testament of Sister New Devil's Maria Naruse, Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! Kuzuha Togashi, and Girl Friend BETA's Yurara Mishima, among others.

Anime Weekend Atlanta will take place in Atlanta on September 24 to 27. The convention will also host singer Eir Aoi, the band LOVERIN TAMBURIN, and manga artist Mengo Yokoyari.
