Crunchyroll Adds She and Her Cat, More Ultraman Series

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
She and Her Cat stream premieres worldwide except Asia on Friday

Media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Thursday that it will stream the Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko: Everything Flows (She and Her Cat -Everything Flows-) television anime series as it airs in Japan. The stream will premiere on Friday at 5:50 a.m. EST, and will be available worldwide except Asia.

In addition, Crunchyroll began streaming the Ultraman Ginga and Ultraman Ginga S series on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. EST. Both series are available worldwide except for Latin America and Asia.

Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko: Everything Flows adapts Makoto Shinkai's She and Her Cat (Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko) anime short. The anime will premiere on the Ultra Super Anime Time programming block on Tokyo MX and BS11 on Friday.

The first promotional video for the anime debuted last month. Kana Hanazawa plays the girl, and Shintarō Asanuma plays the black cat. The anime portrays the life of the girl, a junior college student job hunting while living alone with her pet black cat.

Kazuya Sakamoto (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Clannad, Hyōka episode director) is directing the anime at LIDEN FILMS (The Heroic Legend of Arslan, Terraformars, Schwarzes Marken), while Naruki Nagakawa (Ergo Proxy, Chō Soku Henkei Gyrozetter) is penning the scripts. Senbon Umishima (Gatchaman Crowds, Giovanni's Island, Maria the Virgin Witch key animation) is designing the characters, and is also serving as chief animation director. TO-MAS SOUNDSIGHT FLUORESCENT FOREST is performing the opening theme song and background music for the anime. Clammbon will perform the ending theme song.

Crunchyroll describes both Ultraman Ginga and Ultraman Ginga S:

Spanning two separate series, Ultraman Ginga and its sequel Ultraman Ginga S introduced the children the world over to the Spark Dolls (later seen in Ultraman X). Ultraman Ginga tells the story of Hikaru Raidou, a young man who returns to his hometown to find his old school at the center of a bizarre and mysterious series of monster attacks. Hikaru is soon at the center of the action when he's granted the power to bond with Ultraman Ginga, a mysterious giant who seems to be the only one who can deal with the rampaging giant monsters. The action heats up for Hikaru in Ginga's sequel, Ultraman Ginga S, where he's joined by a powerful new ally, Ultraman Victory, and supported by the attack team UPG (Ultra Party Guardians).
