NISA Announces Western Release of Danganronpa V3 Game in 2017

PS4, PS Vita game gets physical, digital releases

NIS America (NISA) announced on Saturday that it will release the Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony ( New Danganronpa V3: Minna no Koroshiai Shin Gakki) video game on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in North America and Europe in 2017.

NISA will release the game physically and digitally for both consoles, and will also release a limited edition version of the game for the PS4. The limited edition, which is only available on NISA's online store, includes a "limited edition deluxe soundtrack," the original soundtrack for the game itself, a hardcover art book, a hat, a backpack, headphones, and a collector's box.

NISA describes the game:

Welcome to a new world of Danganronpa, and prepare yourself for the biggest, most exhilarating episode yet. Set in a “psycho-cool” environment, a new cast of 16 characters find themselves kidnapped and imprisoned in a school. Inside, some will kill, some will die, and some will be punished. Reimagine what you thought high-stakes, fast-paced investigation was as you investigate twisted murder cases and condemn your new friends to death.

  • Sayaka Kanda as Kaede Akamatsu, the super high-school-level pianist
  • Hikaru Midorikawa as Rantarō Amami, the super high-school-level ???
  • Haruka Ishida as Miu Iruma, the super high-school-level inventor
  • Hiro Shimono as Kokichi Ōma, the super high-school-level President
  • Tetsuya Kakihara as Kiibo, the super high-school-level Robot
  • Shunsuke Takeuchi as Gonta Gokuhara, the super high-school-level insect expert
  • Megumi Hayashibara as Shūichi Saihara, the super high-school-level detective
  • Mikako Komatsu as Tsumugi Shirogane, the super high-school-level cosplayer
  • Kenichi Suzumura as Korekiyo Shingūji, the super high-school-level folklorist
  • Sora Tokui as Tenko Chabashira, the super high-school-level aikido martial artist
  • Kikuko Inoue as Kirumi Tōjō, the super high-school-level maid
  • Maaya Sakamoto as Maki Harukawa, the super high-school-level day-care worker
  • Akio Ohtsuka as Ryōma Hoshi, the super high-school-level tennis player
  • Ryohei Kimura as Kaito Momota, the super high-school-level astronaut
  • Aimi Tanaka as Himiko Yumeno, the super high-school-level magician
  • Minori Suzuki as Angie Yonaga, the super high-school-level art club member
  • TARAKO as Monokuma, the Saishū Academy principal
  • Kouichi Yamadera as the Monokumas Monodamu, Monosuke, Monotarō, Monofanii, and Monokiddo

The game will ship in Japan on January 12. A limited edition will be available on that day with the brand-new original anime Super Danganronpa 2.5 Kamaeda Nagito to Sekai no Hakaisha (Super Danganronpa 2.5: Nagito Komaeda and the Destroyer of the World) on Blu-ray Disc.

While New Danganronpa V3 will inherit the mascot character Monokuma and the basic system from previous games, it will not take place at Hope's Peak Academy and will not feature any other returning characters.
