The official Twitter account for CAPCOM's Resident Evil video game series announced on Monday that Resident Evil Revelations is getting a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release this fall in North America and Europe. The game will be available physically and digitally.

The game originally debuted for Nintendo 3DS in 2012 before receiving a port in 2013 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC. It also inspired a sequel that CAPCOM released for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, and later PlayStation Vita in 2015.

Released as Biohazard in Japan, CAPCOM's Resident Evil survival horror video games series has inspired several live-action films, stage plays, and CG-animated films. The latest game in the series, Resident Evil 7, launched on January 24 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It has shipped over 3 million copies worldwide.
