Dragon Ball FighterZ Fighting Game Adds Trunks

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Trunks from "Cell Saga" joins PS4, Xbox One, PC fighting game slated for 2018

This year's 30th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing on Monday that Trunks is joining the roster of playable characters in Arc System Works' Dragon Ball FighterZ 2D fighting game. The magazine shows that the version of Trunks in the game is specifically the "Future Trunks" that appears in the story's "Cell Saga."

Bandai Namco Entertainment previously streamed a trailer and two gameplay videos for the game during the E3 event last week.

The three-versus-three fighting game will arrive for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in early 2018.

Bandai Namco Entertainment America describes the game:

Arc System Works delivers an explosive, action-packed game that combines classic 2D fighting with advanced 3D character models that look and feel as if they are ripped straight out of the DRAGON BALL series.

Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe stated that the game is getting a closed beta for the PS4 and Xbox One "before the end of the summer."

Bandai Namco Entertainment had posted a press release on June 9 that announced the game, but the company took down the announcement soon afterward. The press release had stated that the game would be available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Neutral Spanish, Polish, Russian, and Korean in North, Central, and South America; Europe; Asia; and Japan.
