Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan Manga Gets 2nd Anime DVD

Manga gets 10th 1-shot in Shonen Jump on February 26

This year's March issue of Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine revealed on Monday that Hirohiko Araki's Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan (Kishibe Rohan wa Ugokanai) manga is inspiring a second anime DVD. The DVD will ship with the manga's second volume on July 19. The deadline to pre-order the limited-edition version of the manga volume with the DVD is May 16. The bundle will cost 3,500 yen (about US$33).

The anime will adapt the manga's second "episode" from the first volume, titled "Mutsukabezaka."

Additionally, this year's 12th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Monday that the magazine's 13th issue on February 26 will publish a special 48-page one-shot manga for Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan. The chapter is part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of Weekly Shonen Jump. The chapter's title is "Episode 10: The Run." In the chapter, Rohan meets a "bizarre man" at the gym.

The manga previously inspired an original anime DVD (OAD) for those who purchased all 13 DVD or Blu-ray Disc volumes of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable anime. The anime adapted the "Fugō Mura" (Millionaire Village) story from the manga. Series director Toshiyuki Kato returned to direct the OAD at david production, and Yasufumi Soejima was the assistant director. Shun'ichi Ishimoto designed the characters, and Kenta Mimuro designed the Stands. The anime shipped last year.

Kishibe Rohan wa Ugokanai is a series of one-shots starring the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable character Rohan Kishibe, who is also Araki's fictional alter ego. Shueisha published the first compiled book volume of the different Kishibe Rohan wa Ugokanai stories in November 2013. Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret magazine published the manga's ninth installment, "DNA," in August.

Update: The official Twitter account for the television anime posted a visual for the second Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan anime DVD.
