Sega and Warner Bros. announced via a collaboration commercial with the Hi Score Girl anime on Friday that the Space Harrier game is joining the lineup for the Sega Ages project for the Nintendo Switch. The video does not reveal a release date.
With the project, Sega will release more than 15 of its classic games for the Switch. M2 is developing the games.
Previously announced games in the project include Phantasy Star, Sonic the Hedgehog, Thunder Force IV (Lightning Force: Quest for the Darkstar), Gain Ground, and Alex Kidd in Miracle World.
Sega had originally planned to release the first two games, Sonic the Hedgehog and Thunder Force IV, in August, but delayed the releases to this month to improve the games' quality. Phantasy Star is also slated to launch this month.
The titles will have a simultaneous development in Japan, North America, and Europe.
