The official website for the smartphone/PC (browser) tie-in game for Animax's original television anime The Girl in Twilight (Akanesasu Shōjo) began streaming a promotional video for the game on Wednesday. The video previews the gameplay, and shows the game's original main character, Nagi (voiced by Maaya Sakamoto).
Nagi searches for her sister in the parallel world. She has led a difficult life in a cruel world, and cannot relate to the normal lives of Asuka and the others. She begins to open up to Asuka and her friends as she travels with them.
The game will launch in October for iOS and Android devices, as well as for PCs (through browsers via DMM Games). The game shares the anime's original scenario writer, original character designers, concept artist, main theme song writer, and music producer.
Pony Canyon USA describes the anime's story:
A group of girls living in a small city gather to enact a ritual.
They are the “Crystal Radio Research Society”.
The sweet and cheery Asuka Tsuchimiya brought this group together with her friends from school.
The ritual was merely an urban legend, but events coalesce and what started as play becomes much more...
The anime will premiere on Animax on October 1 at 7:30 p.m., before airing later that evening on Tokyo MX and Yomiuri TV. The anime will also stream on Animax on PlayStation, Niconico Channel, d Anime Store, and U-NEXT.
Kōtarō Uchikoshi (Ever17, Punch Line, Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward) is credited for the project's original scenario concept. Jin Tamamura (A Sister's All You Need) is directing the anime at Dandelion Animation Studio and Jūmonji. Yūichi Abe (Ultraman Zero: The Revenge of Belial, live-action Prince of Tennis) is credited as series director.
Masakazu Katsura (Video Girl Ai, DNA², Tiger & Bunny) is drawing the original character designs alongside Hiroyuki Asada (Tegami Bachi: Letter Bee, Cheer Boys!!), who is also credited as concept artist, while Hiroki Harada (Romeo × Juliet, [email protected], Sweetness & Lightning) is designing the characters for animation.
Ryu☆ (pronounced "Ryūsei," aka Bemani game series composer Ryūtarō Nakahara) is the music producer, and Kenji Itō (Romancing SaGa, Puzzle & Dragons games) is writing the main theme song. Michi is singing the opening theme song "Soranetarium," and Ami Wajima is singing the ending theme song "Kowarekake no Radio" (Broken Radio).
