Service launched in December 2017

The official website for the Animax on PlayStation app announced on Friday that the app for PlayStation 4 will end service on January 8, 2019. The company will stop selling 14-day free trials and 30-day paid vouchers on November 16.

The app currently features a lineup of more than 170 anime works, most of which are available for members only, although around 20 programs are available for free. The app also features exclusive streaming programs.

The Girl in Twilight anime is streaming on the service this season, and the Saint Seiya: Saintia Shō anime will debut on the service on December 10 (although the show will also stream on other services).

Sony launched the app in Japan on December 1, 2017.
