Ani-One Asia Licenses BLUE LOCK vs. U-20 JAPAN, A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School!, Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions, More Anime

Ani-One Asia announced on Wednesday and Thursday that it has licensed the following anime for the fall anime season:

The second season of the anime of Akira Amano's Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective (Kamonohashi Ron no Kindan Suiri) manga will debut on Ani-One Asia's YouTube channel on October 7 at 10:30 p.m. GMT +8 for users in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Fiji, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, the Maldives, Mauritius, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nauru, Nepal, New Caledonia, Pakistan, Palau, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Seychelles, Singapore, the Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and Vietnam.

Humbreaders performs the opening theme song "Feedback o Narashite" (Playing Feedback), and hockrockb performs the ending theme song "Labyrinth."

The first season premiered in October 2023. Ani-One Asia streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.

Shōta Ihata (Girlish Number, The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent) directed the anime at diomedéa. Wataru Watari, who has written both the light novel and anime scripts for Girlish Number, oversaw the series scripts, and Masakazu Ishikawa (Squid Girl, The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent) adapted the character designs for animation. Yo Tsuji (Miss Hokusai) composed the music at Kadokawa.

MANGA Plus is releasing the manga digitally in English, and it describes the story:

This unusual duo brings the hidden truth into the light! BLUE LOCK vs. U-20 JAPAN, the second television anime season based on Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yūsuke Nomura's BLUELOCK soccer manga, will be available for Ani-One Asia ULTRA members on October 5 at 11:30 p.m. GMT +8 for users in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Fiji, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, the Maldives, the Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Micronesia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nauru, Nepal, New Caledonia, Pakistan, Palau, the Philippines, Samoa, Singapore, the Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and Vietnam.

The new season will have 14 episodes. Ani-One Asia describes the anime:

In order to develop the world's best striker to lead Japan to the World Cup championship, three hundred high school forwards were invited to participate the "BLUE LOCK" project. Thirty-five egoists survived the grueling selection process. Some by kicking others down, and some by evolving as players. Having survived the frenzy and now filled with ego, they will fight for BLUE LOCK's survival, participating in their biggest match to date, a historic battle against the U-20 Japan national team. The chance to change destiny and imprint their ego upon the world is at hand as the hottest match in history begins!

New cast members include Eiji Mikami as Yo Hiori, Kakeru Hatano as Nijiro Nanase, Satoshi Hino as Oliver Aiku, and Akihisa Wakayama as Shūto Sendō.

Unison Square Garden will perform the opening theme song "Bо̄jaku no Charisma." Snow Man performs the ending theme song "One."

The anime's 24-episode first season premiered in Japan in October 2022 on TV Asahi and its affiliates in the NUMAnimation programming block. Animax Asia aired a simulcast of the anime as it aired in Japan.

The anime film of Kōta Sannomiya's BLUELOCK -Episode Nagi- spinoff manga premiered in Japan on April 19. The film sold 337,000 tickets to earn 463 million yen (about US$2.99 million) in its first three days, and ranked at #2 in the Japanese box office in its opening weekend. MediaLink opened the film in various Southeast Asian territories. The spinoff manga focuses on Seishirō Nagi before he enters the titular Blue Lock facility.

Kodansha USA Publishing is publishing the original BLUELOCK manga in English digitally, and is also releasing it in print. The company describes the story:

After a disastrous defeat at the 2018 World Cup, Japan's team struggles to regroup. But what's missing? An absolute Ace Striker, who can guide them to the win. The Japan Football Union is hell-bent on creating a striker who hungers for goals and thirsts for victory, and who can be the decisive instrument in turning around a losing match...and to do so, they've gathered 300 of Japan's best and brightest youth players. One day, Laust, the healer who is jokingly called ‘incompetent’, is kicked out of his team. Unexpectedly, a lively fighter girl, Narsena, approaches him. In fact, this isn't their first meeting; they are reuniting after a long time. Now, their adventure together is about to begin.

The anime will star (Note: Character name romanizations not confirmed):

Keisuke Ōnishi (episode director for Attack on Titan, The Case Study of Vanitas, Kill la Kill) is directing the anime at Studio Elle. Kurasumi Sunayama (Yowamushi Pedal New Generation, Bakuon!!) is overseeing the series scripts, Yumiko Mizuno (key animator for Fruits Basket TV 2/2019, Steins;Gate 0) is designing the characters, and Naoki Tani (Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!, The Detective Is Already Dead) and Tatsuya Yano (Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!, The Detective Is Already Dead) are composing the music.

Hina Tachibana performs the opening theme song "Saikyō? Saikō! Brave My Heart" (The Strongest? The Best! Brave My Heart).

The television anime of Mai Tanaka's A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School! (Yōkai Gakkō no Sensei Hajimemashita!) manga will debut on Ani-One Asia's YouTube channel on October 8 at 10:00 p.m. for users in Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam. Ani-One Asia describes the anime:
Haruaki Abe, who aspires to become a teacher, is timid and often cries. He is excited to have just been hired as a teacher, but he discovers that Hyakki Academy, where he will be working, is a school for yokai! Why did the principal hire a human? This story depicts the quirky and lively daily life between the Yokai students, teachers, and Haruaki Abe. A delightful Yokai Academy comedy! Class is started!

Katsumi Ono (Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, Skeleton Knight in Another World, Beast Saga) is directing the anime at Satelight, Deko Akao (Anonymous Noise, B-PROJECT, Noragami) is in charge of series scripts, and Natsuki is designing the characters. Music group Four Eight 48 performs the opening theme song "Ebi Zori Turn!," and artist Yuika performs the ending theme song "Bokurashisa."

Bananya Around the World, the third season for the Bananya television anime, will release its first four episodes on the Ani-One Asia YouTube channel on October 14 at 3:30 p.m. GMT +8, followed by episodes five to eight on November 11, and episodes nine to 13 on December 16. The anime will be available for users in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.

Ani-One Asia describes the anime:

The mysterious kitten hiding in a banana. No one has ever seen the part wrapped in the banana peel... They live among real bananas, playing secretly and playing pranks when no one is around. They love desserts and playing; their dream is to become the fashionable "Chocolate Banana Cat".

Yūki Kaji returns to voice various characters including Bananya and the new character Manuru. Ayumu Murase returns, this time to voice Baby Sweet and other characters.

Kyō Yatate (Sockie's Frontier Quest) is also returning to direct the anime, although this time at TMS Entertainment Studio 6 and Lesprit. Masahiro Takata (Super Seisyun Brothers director, scriptwriter) is overseeing the scripts again, and writing the scripts this time with Sei Yoshitsuki (Nyaaaanvy).

Q-LiA launched the Bananya mascot character in 2015.
