Florida Supercon returns in 2009! Now in it's 4th year, FSC once again moves into a larger venue as the three day festival continues to grow. This year's event will take place June 5, 6 & 7, 2009 at the Doubletree Miami Mart Airport Hotel and Convention Center in Miami, FL. The three day festival will take place in the convention center's west hall (50,000 sq. feet) and the convention centers entire second floor (over 35,000 sq. feet) making this the largest genre event to ever hit South Florida. The show will include celebrity guests, artists, writers, vendors, industry guests, Q&A's, parties, costume contests, anime programming, manga, cosplay, workshops, panels, cosplay photo shoots, dance parties, console gaming, LAN gaming, tabletop gaming, collectible card gaming, tournaments and more!

Dick Giordano:
When one mentions the legends that have shaped the history of the comics industry, rest assured that high on that list will be the name of Dick Giordano. Since 1951, Dick Giordano has worked his pencil and ink magic for a variety of publishers including Charlton Comics, DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Dell, American Comics, Valiant, Treasure Chest and Junior Life. In addition to his considerable freelance contributions, Giordano acted as Editor-In-Chief for Charlton Comics, during which he oversaw the creation of their most memorable characters including such classics as The Blue Beetle and Captain Atom. As Executive Editorial Director of DC Comics, Dick was the guiding force behind such award-winning series as Alan Moore's WATCHMEN, Frank Miller's DARK KNIGHT RETURNS and many, many more revolutionary concepts. His creative vision at DC Comics resulted in raising the bar for creativity throughout the entire comics industry. In recent years, Dick Giordano, along with creative partners Bob Layton and David Michelinie, formed FUTURE ENTERTAINMENT, a multi-media company.

Dennis Calero:
One of the comic worlds rising stars, Dennis Calero is the current artist of X-Men: Noir, and was recently the regular artist of X-Factor. His other credits include: Star Trek: The Next Generation, Supergirl and the Legion of Superheroes, Sliders, Magic: The Gathering, Fallen Angel and Countdown.

Brian Thompson:
Brian Thompson is an American actor, whose distinctive square-jaw profile, powerful voice, and imposing stature (six-foot-three) has led him to star in many action films, often as a villain.
His first role was playing one of the punks who are killed by Arnold Schwarzenegger's character in The Terminator at the beginning of the film. His most prominent role was as the Night Slasher, the enigmatic leader of a cult of serial killers in Cobra alongside action star Sylvester Stallone. The same year, Thompson played a nasty German in John Landis' comedy Three Amigos. Thompson has also appeared in a wide variety of television shows, primarily science-fiction and fantasy series, including The X-Files (as an alien bounty hunter); the pilot episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, "Welcome to the Hellmouth" as Luke, disciple of The Master; Kindred: The Embraced (as Eddie Fiori, the leader of the Brujah clan); and Charmed (as both War from the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and the Titan Cronos). Thompson has also appeared in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (as the warlord Goth) as well as Hercules himself in Jason and the Argonauts. Thompson appears in the Star Trek franchises Star Trek: Enterprise (as Romulan admiral Valdore), Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and the film Star Trek Generations. He played the role of Tenctonese Trent Porter in the film Alien Nation. Thompson has also appeared in Mortal Kombat as Shao Kahn.

Peter Badalamenti:
Peter is an American actor who is currently one of the stars of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (portraying Benjamin from 1928-31). His next film project is When in Rome (portraying Ace Frehley). Other credits include: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (Penrod), Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (Penrod), Full Grown Men (Bert), The Signs of the Cross (Father Badalamenti), Dr. Moreau's House of Pain (Gallagher), The Hustle (Juan the Latin Lover) and Cremaster 3 (Fionn MacCumhail).

As always, FSC will feature dozens of celebrities, artists and industry guests. Past guests have included the stars of Harry Potter, Clerks, South Park, The Simpsons, Batman: The Animated Series, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Thundercats, Jem, Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Image Comics, Superman: The Movie, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Final Fantasy, Full Metal Alchemist and more! This year's show will include more guests than ever before. Over thirty guests have already been set for the show. The current list includes:

Al Feldstein:
Legendary EC Comics creator, Al Feldstein served as Editor, Writer and Artist for EC Comics in the Golden Age. His work has graced the covers of Tales From The Crypt, Weird Science, Weird Fantasy, Shock SuspenStories, Crime SuspenStories,Vault of Horror, Panic and The Haunt of Fear.

Michele Knotz:
Michele Knotz has been in many an Anime lover's ears as she has done numerous voice overs, portraying many different characters for the American market of the likes of "Pokemon", etc. Born in New Jersey, she studied acting at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania before transferring to study television and radio production at Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Knotz was the winner of the 2003 Anime Idol voice acting contest held at the now defunct Big Apple Anime Fest convention in New York City and debuted in the role of Hajime Yagi in The World of Narue. As of 2007, she plays Team Rocket's Jessie as well as the voices of Misty, May, Nurse Joy and Ash Ketchum's mother Delia in the Pokémon USA/TAJ Productions English dub of the Pokémon anime meta series.Michele will be breaking out to the physical world and gracing our screen in a live action "Anime-come to Life" role. Michele will be playing the character of "Abigail". The lead character Jimmy's dead girlfriend. (Yes dead, but she gets better!)

Bill Rogers:
Anime voice acting star, Bill Rogers is the voice of Brock in Pokémon, Touma Seguchi in Gravitation, Yamamoto in Boogiepop Phantom, Tanaka Souihiro in Genshiken, Kevin in The Third and Bonsly, Lucario & Weavile in Super Smash Bros. Brawl..

Greg Horn:
Superstar Comic Book Artist and Painter. Credits include: Secret Invasion, Ms. Marvel, Elektra, She-Hulk, X-Men, Emma Frost, Wolverine, Namor, Spider-Man and more! Greg Horn is one of the most prolific and sought-after artists in the United States. His hyper-realistic style is the choice of art directors and clients in four distinct artistic industries. Greg is best known for his work at Marvel Comics were he has painted over 100 comic book covers for titles such as She-Hulk, Emma Frost, and Elektra. Greg has also distinguished himself in the field of advertising, where he has contributed to numerous print campaigns, including Allstate Insurance's 2004 Olympic Basketball poster, and Ringling Brothers' 132nd Circus poster. Since 2001, Greg has been commissioned to illustrate over 60 magazine covers-- an astounding average of one magazine cover every month for 5 years! His work in this print medium brought him to the attention of the video game world where he has collaborated on nearly 50 video game related projects with the biggest names in the gaming industry including Electronic Arts, Universal Studios, Blizzard, 2K Games, and Sony Interactive. More recently, Greg has widened his artistic accomplishments, delving into novel covers with Random House and Penguin Books, and creating box art for boardgames Kryptonite Crisis and Stratego.

Patrick Rothfuss: New York Times Best Selling Author Patrick Rothfuss is the writer of The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear. Mr. Rothfuss was the recipient of the 2007 "Quill Award", the 2007 Best Book of the Year - FantasyLiterature.net, Publisher Weekly's 2007 Best Book of the Year (Science Fiction/Fantasy/Horror).

Herb Trimpe: Legendary Comic Book artist Herb Trimpe is best known for his work at Marvel from the 1960's to the 1990's, including art for The Incredible Hulk (for which he enjoyed an eight-year run and is credited with the co-creation of Wolverine in Incredible Hulk #180 and 181), The Transformers, G.I. Joe, Shogun Warriors and Godzilla.

Pat Broderick: Legendary Comic Book artist and animator, Pat Broderick is an icon of the 70's and 80's comic book industry. Mr. Broderick has been the artist for Batman, Captain Marvel, Firestorm, Captain Atom, Detective Comics, Green Lantern, The Micronauts, Shazam, Alpha Flight and more! In addition to his comic book art, Mr. Broderick's animation work includes concept design work for the Jimmy Neutron movie.

Allen Bellman: Golden Age Comic Book Legend. Artist of Captain America, The Patriot, Let's Play Detective, Human Torch, Sub-Mariner and more! Mr. Bellman was the recipient of the 2007 San Diego Comic Con Inkpot Award.

Dana Snyder: Dana may be best known as the voice of Master Shake in the Adult Swim series Aqua Teen Hunger Force, but his extensive list of credits also includes Chowder (Gazpacho), The Venture Brothers (The Alchemist), Squidbillies (Granny), Minoriteam (Dr. Wang), Sealab 2021 and Robot Chicken. Contrary to popular belief, Dana was NOT the "Food-Way Woman" in The Shawshank Redemption.

FSC will take up over 85,000 sq. feet of space at the convention center, which will include over 120 vendor booths (showcasing comic books, trade paperbacks, graphic novels, toys, anime, manga, clothing, accessories, DVD's, CD's, books, autographs and more!), a 9,000 sq. feet main events area, console gaming, LAN gaming, tabletop gaming, card gaming, panel rooms, anime viewing rooms and movie screening rooms.
