Event Descriptions:

AM² SCAVENGER HUNT
Do you know where to find a Trigun action figure or maybe just a really big sword? Do you have a plushie, a T-shirt, chopsticks, and glow sticks in your bag? If you do, then perhaps you and a group of your friends may want to join AM²'s Scavenger Hunt.

Teams of ten will search the AM² Convention in order to complete a checklist of random items.

If you're lucky enough to be the fastest team to find everything on your list, not only will you get to win fantastic prizes, you will earn a year's worth of BRAGGING rights!

Will your team end up on the AM2 Home page?

Please note: Only the top three teams will be able to win prizes.

Date & Time: Friday, June 15th, 12:00pm
Location: TBA

ANIME TRIVIA SHOW
The Anime Trivia Show will take a room full of attendees and eliminate EVERYONE except three lucky contestants.

Next, we will give the lucky contestants the opportunity to answer a few questions—with skill (and maybe some luck), they will answer questions correctly. The one who answers the most questions correctly will not only win prizes, but to top it off, will earn a year's worth of BRAGGING rights! But it won't be easy! You'll have to know the answers if you want to win.

Who knows? Maybe your picture can end up on the AM2 Home page!

Date & Time: TBA
Location: Live Programming 2

GRAND OTAKU DEBATE
Grand Otaku Debate or GOD is an irreverent look at the process of debate from an anime fan's standpoint.

Contestants are chosen from the audience. As teams are formed, the host will propose a topic to the listeners. The listeners will then help select the topic.

The rules for each debate will be given at the start of the debate. The actual rules can change at the host's choosing. In between arguments when teams are deliberating, "mini games" will be played to keep the audience entertained. Audience members may get prizes tossed out to them.

After the debate is finished, voting on a winner will take place. The audience will select the winner by applause. The winners then go onto the next round. The debate reaches its conclusion after all the teams have been eliminated.

The final debate will be the top two teams. Special formatting for this debate will be announced and the game will be played. A grand winner will be selected by the audience. At that time the team captain will be asked to either select the prize and go home with an invitation to return next year or to take on the mystery team for a secret extra prize.

The mystery battle's topic will be related to the Guests of Honor. If the mystery team wins this grand debate, winners go home empty handed and the prize will be tossed to the crowd. Should the mystery team be defeated, a secret extra prize will be included in the prize package that the winners will receive.

Date & Times: Friday, June 15th, 1:00pm to 4:00pm
Saturday, June 16th, 5:00pm to 8:00pm
Sunday (FINALS), June 17th, 9:00am to 11:30am
Location: Live Programming 2

OTAKU SINGLED OUT
Are you tired of being alone? Spending too much on online dating with too few results? Is your idea of a hot date spending time with your “special” love pillow and watching Hentai on T.V.? Maybe you just gave up on looking and stopped trying to find your Otaku Love Connection?

Before you do anything drastic, give Otaku Singled Out a try.

By using our unique selection process, you and as many as a hundred attendees will compete until all we have left is one couple! It all depends on how well you can answer a few questions.

At worst, you can make new friends. But at best, you might have something more…

**This is an 18 and over Event**

Date & Time: Friday, June 15th, 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Location: Summer Festival Stage

NYAN-CHAN'S MEET & GREET
Need a chance to meet someone new? Our mascot is giving you one! Nyan-Chan's Meet & Greet is a speed dating event for those who want to meet new people or find who they are compatible with. This event is for single individuals who want a shot at an even playing field.

How it works...

Upon successful registration, a congratulatory e-mail will be sent upon receipt of your application. If all the spots have been filled, you will be sent an e-mail informing you of this.

Please come to the event with your form of Identification. You will be provided with a checklist, a piece of paper to take notes on, and a pencil. Each participant will have an Identification number. You will have a few minutes to converse with the person. If you feel like you connected with that person, place a checkmark next to their number on the checklist. You may check up to three people and three people only. If you check more than three, we will not process your sheet and you will receive no matches.

YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION, INCLUDING NAME, AGE OR PROFESSION.

At the end of the event, you will have a few minutes to finalize your ideas and checklist. Please rank the potential interest by number (with 1 being your top preference). Make sure to turn in the checklist/ranking paper in at the end of the event.

NOTE: We will ONLY match people with a mutual interest. We will match all compatible couples accordingly. Matching a couple isn't guaranteed. We will notify everyone about their potential matches during the convention on the next day, so you can spend time with your potential partner if a match is made.
