Danny DeVito Wows Fans at MCM London Comic Con
MCM EXPO LONDON COMIC CON – EXCEL LONDON – 25-27 MAY
Hollywood legend Danny DeVito was a smash hit at last weekend's MCM London Comic-Con, personally hosting a preview of his upcoming animated comedy The Lorax and signing free autographs for hundreds of lucky fans.
Danny DeVito was among a host of special guests at the MCM London Comic-Con, which attracted a record 64,000 visitors across the long weekend, with a massive 37,000 people coming through the doors on Saturday alone.
Other stars at Britain's biggest pop culture event included Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles creator Kevin Eastman; Grimm's David Giuntoli; Storage 24 writer Noel Clarke and director Johannes Roberts; Teen Wolf's Tyler Hoechlin and Holland Roden; Once Upon A Time's Raphael Sparge; Star Wars' Anthony Daniels; Falling Skies' Seychelle Gabriel and Sarah Carter; Sanctuary's Pascale Hutton; Fairly Legal's Sarah Shahi; legendary comics creator Marv Wolfman; the stars of hit CBBC show Young Dracula; cast and crew from supernatural drama Bedlam and cult horror fave Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.
The MCM London Comic-Con also proved a Mecca for gamers, hosting UK first playables of titles such as Aliens: Colonial Marines; Lollipop Chainsaw; Kingdom Hearts 3D; Sleeping Dogs and Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise. Other great games at the show included Lego Batman 2; Dead Or Alive 5; Theatrhythm Final Fantasy; Steel Battalion: Heavy Armour; Dragon's Dogma; Transformers Online; Ni no Kuni and Tekken Tag Tournament 2.
MCM London Comic-Con returns to Excel on 26-28 October alongside the London Memorabilia show. The next MCM Group event will be the MCM Manchester Comic-Con, which takes place at Manchester Central on 21 July.
