I guess they're just riding that NisiOsin wave.

Kizumonogatari will be more than ample for me.

Although boobs and NisiOsin have something to do with it, this is also a reason. Of the 20 current series in the mag, 14 15 have had, currently have, or will have some sort of anime adaptation at some point. The only ones that don't are series a year old or younger.

While it hasn't been confirmed, the rumors going around have been saying GAINAX will be the one to adapt Medaka Box.

I;m really excited about this. Medaka Box is one of my favorite Shonen Jump manga at the moment(Viz needs to seriously bring it to the US) and it;s a pretty unique series. Not to mention it has one of the greatest fictional characters to ever be concieved

As for the Gainax doing it thing I have mixed feelings about it. They do great work, but it might lower the chances of more seasons since their stuff hasn;t sold well as of late. Guess we'll see what happens.

It's the other way around. Nearly all anime will have some big boobed character, but not all manga with such characters will get an anime. There are after all, tons of manga without anime, so that attribute is hardly the deciding factor.

Please be Gainax please be Gainax please be Gainax.

I wish SHAFT could be of the mental level to do this but in the end it's gotta be Gainax or White Fox

I want Gainax (with a massive budget) behind this and FFS White Fox please get contracted to animate Zaregoto, the real Nisio masterpiece. 9x90-120 minute OVA/Movie, I'll take that!

Yep Kumagawa is just that good... shame if this tanks in BD sales that we'll never see his greatness animated.

2012 - Year of Nisio!

Winter - Nise TV
Spring - Medaka
Summer - Kizu Movie *fingers crossed*
Fall - Medaka 2 (rumored to be a Spring/Fall split cour series at this point)

The question is, how are they goin' to animate it? Medaka Box seems pretty tough to animate correctly ESPECIALLY Kumagawa's speech.

I thought this was announced as green-lit some time ago, but apparently that was just a report based on a credible tip (now born out by this confirmation).

Best guess would be double speak, multiple voice actors or static filter the likes of which has never been heard of before

Easy! It won't even get up to Kumagawa :( Good god I'm still a bit pissed that realistic there's not much chance of his arc being animated unless this sells really good. The Emukae meets Zen "scene" would've been legendary....

I didn't think it was that popular still. I know it gradually turned from a silly school comedy into a silly battle God-knows so that it could pool better ratings, but I didn't think it worked. I'm actually surprised it's lasted this long, considering how drastic the deviation.

And yet, I sorta figured it would get an adaptation.

Been waiting to see Medaka Box get an adaption. Figured it was only a matter of time. I dropped off the manga after a while, but I thought it was pretty fun when it was a weird school comedy. I look forward to at least those parts of it.

The Gainax you remember is dead.

Panty & Stocking was their last show with the old staff.

Dantalian was the start of New Gainax and look how badly that turned out.
