new dvds of dbz is it the re-release with the new voices or more different or something?

Yes, FUNimation is re-releasing the first two seasons of DBZ (the Saiyan and Namek sagas) because they were orginally only available in a dubbed and cut format.
Now we get to see them with all the blood, nudity, and closer-to-translation dialogue all the while with those [sarcasm]great[/sarcasm] FUNi VAs. Of course they'll also be bilingual too .

Yeah, I believe they're re-releasing the first three movies because the distribution licenses were previously owned by Pioneer, and now that it's up, the Pioneer versions are sadly out of print.
Thank goodness I got them way back then! These three movies are best English adaptations of DBZ, in my opinion. It's got the great voice acting by Ocean, the original music, and a pretty accurate script (aside from a few attack names).
