It was the first award announced. Me and my sister started screaming. then, LOTR won for visual effect with their work on Gollum. Double happiness in this house

Ah, you were only off by a few seconds. I am SOOO happy right now. I just can't believe it. It looked like she was gonna say Lilo and Stitch at first (yes, I was watching her lips in anticipation), so it was a huge shock.

yeah, it's a real shame. i really would've liked to see suzuki or miyazaki up on stage. they didn't even have a taped acceptance speech, which is a little disappointing, too. :/ |

They were about 2 minutes behind : p but it doesn't matter. Considering the fact that they had to upload and link the file, they were really on the ball. I imagine they had several possible stories typed earlier today, then they just linked the correct story

But can you blame him? I mean, everything that's been going on has been sudden in a sense. I know I wouldn't want to fly overseas right now. A acceptance via satelite would have been nice, but it would have to be set up in advance so they probably figured it wasn't worth it. |
