In the case of Kite, I'm glad they first released it censored. I really don't like hentai stuff, and the censored version made sense without the scenes anyway.

I'm surprised Arslan isn't on the list... what Manga did to that anime in the dubbed version was one of the worst editing cases ever, IMO. (Changing important dialogue, changing important plot elements...)

I was surprised to find out that the Fist of the North Star movie has TWO different endings. One that ends in a draw, and another where there is a winner. A dvd release where you can pick the ending ala Clue would be pretty cool.

Uh, wow! I had no idea! Are the anime on the list just the ones that had changes? Can I assume that any anime not on the list came stateside wtihout anything missing?

No. I know at least one anime not on the list that was quite heavily edited when it got released in the US.

As I mentioned before, Heroic Legend of Arslan is not on the list, even though in the dubbed version, Manga made completely unnecessary and pointless changes to the dialogue and narration, to the point of changing important plot elements and even some characters' personality (they also changed the characters' names, added sounds where there weren't any present in the original, etc). For example, in the dub, the narrator says at the end of the first OAV that a character dies - even though he's quite obviously alive, as he returns a few episodes later, and plays quite an important role in the story. Also, another character states that his little brother died - when he actually never had a little brother! These changes (along with many many others) were most probably completely made up by Manga, for reasons only known to them; one just has to compare the dub with the sub to see the glaring differences.
