So this is pretty standard "there was a leak but we'll deny it because that's the protocol to follow" it seems. Oh well, it'll be official on Tuesday.

I hope that will be the case. This series NEEDS a 2nd season.

It had quite good sales (~9k/volume reported by Oricon) and it's a low budget project. Given that there is plenty of material to adapt from the manga, it has an established fanbase, and it's relatively low-risk I cannot see any reason why the business-side/financial-backers would be against a second season.

I think sales were good in part due to the fact that the first release edition of the DVD and BD included a coupon to apply for an event. One coupon in each of the three volumes and if you buy all three, you can apply for the event. (It wasn't a lottery so anyone who applies will get in.)

There's a lot of manga material, but only so much that you can actually air on TV. If you read the manga you'll know what I mean. This is probably the biggest obstacle, LoL. Some of the more edgy stuff is available on OADs included with the limited edition of the manga. Two of the three episodes will be re-released on BD this month.

Comic Natalie just posted the news with the same image posted in the initial ANN news report. I think it's safe to say now that it's official?
