| Seanb is still around, as for lianncoop... they haven't post in the "Regular" board for sometime.

I'm still lurking around.
I haven't watched much anime in the past 2 years or so, but still read the forums from time to time. Currently I'm working 5x10 hour days per week, which is pretty exhausting. I also bike to and from work (8 miles/day!) which doesn't help matters.
Someday I'll be free from overtime, and I'll get those 8-5pm shifts I've been wanting. Someday...

Ha ha, I've known about the secret staff forum for awhile, or at least about its existance...one day on the forums, I tried to modify the number at the end of the URL, as in viewtopic.php?t=21419 to rediculously low numbers like 1 or 24. I think the oldest post that normal people can see is #8; anything lower either says "does not exist" or "only users granted special permission can read topics in this forum". Thus, there is a forum that normal posters cannot see

I know they're not mods, but since this is somewhat on the topic of old posters...
Does anyone know what happened to Darkhunter and Kazuki-san? I mean, they used to be regular posters even when I was around before... they haven't posted in months and they usually posted almost everyday, up until the day they left. They just stopped all of the sudden, just seemed so abrupt... And I thought Kazuki-san was going to write something about that interview with Shinichiro Watanabe, but he hasn't posted since then, in fact, that's right when he left...

Actually, I can't see posts 1-7.
I can't see post #8 either for that matter. They don't exist.
Anyways, for the record, their are more staff forums than there are public forums.

So, do you each get you own personal forum decked out in your choice of decor and private swimming pool? :p

Perhaps their no longer into anime, or they no longer have the time or ability to spend posting on these forums. I know it weird but there will probably be a day when you will just stop posting, but then again same could be said about me.

Damn well for the record I now know that there are a lot of the staff forum then. I never imagine it would be that many, I always kinda figure there would be one or two for the staff only.
Till next time,

Maybe... but it just seems like it would have happened slower, like they just gradually post less and less instead of just one day deciding never to post again. I mean, they were posting a lot right up until the day they left...
As for me, I don't plan on leaving here anytime soon. The forums have surpisingly kept me interested for over a year. Sure, there's a whole bunch of annoying threads created all the time, but most of the regular posters here I really like. And I've never found any other forums similar enough to this one and wanted to post on them... been looking for some, but as of now, none of them have appealed to me. AnimeonDVD would be my next choice but I don't like the board style there for some reason.
Geez, today is a really slow posting day though, has been like this all day. Maybe it's because school's starting... which is also somewhat of a good thing since I'm hoping the spam will die down, which there has been a lot of lately.

The rash of spamming and trolling on the ANN board in recent months got me worried to the point that I was actually thinking about quitting posting here. I do feel sorry for Tony and Nagi in that they had to work extra hard to control these monsters, but I'm very grateful that they're here to restore order on these fora. I haven't been posting as frequently here as I did in the past (mostly due to my new Anime on DVD account I started a year ago), so hopefully with the new academic year starting that the spam/troll frequency will die down to the point where I feel a little more comfortable posting here on a regular basis (except when I'm at work, of course! ).

Seriously? That seems unnecessarily cluttered. o_O
I'll admit I've never helped run a website with quite this much content, but I don't think I've seen more than three staff forums at once before.

I have looked at the member list and seen that there some people that have been registered on this site for quite a while and have had a lot of posts. Yet, I haven't seen them post either for a while or for the time that I've been on the forums. There's only so much time you can put into a hobby, and I guess some of those people couldn't commit or just grew out of it.

Question to Tony and Nagi: You guys have to read every single post to make sure there's something or nothing wrong, correct?

As dormcat is referring to, when a post is reported, we are informed via e-mail with a message of the user being reported and who the reporter is. Underneath that is a link to the post.
What really gets annoying is when backseat moderating gets reported. For those of you reading, please do not backseat moderate or report it. It just gives me more crap to file through. Thanks.
