I just noticed that they added more DVDs to the Geneon Sale. I picked up another 25 DVDs including Hajime no Ippo. At $4 dollars a piece, that's an amazing deal. Those discs are usually very pricey.

I would love to have Fighting Spirit, but I'm afraid it's not in my budget, even at 4 dollars a piece...sad I know.

Why not just change some items, they said they'd allow substitutions as long as they were part of the promotion.
ETA: I changed one of my orders twice, even though I know I was being a bother their customer service is great and didn't give me flak for it.

Too late. I already e-mailed them. All of my stuff is backordered anyway, so I'm in no big rush. I just want make sure I get "the right stuff" this time around.

Yeah, I put my order in a few hours ago, but at that point they still have discs 1-11 & 13 included in the deal. Best deal you'll ever get on an amazing show. I know it's not all the discs, but the amount of money you're still saving is outrageous.
EDIT - Their customer service is great. They swapped discs for my order last week with ease. Also, I saw on AOD that they are getting massive shipments in anyday and expect to fulfill most of them initial orders. I'm going to keep checking back on this deal every couple days or so. See if they add anything else to it.

They added Someday's Dreamers as well, even the vol 1 w/box. I've been wanting this series for a while and $15 for it is a steal.

I definitely would've picked it up if I didn't already have it.
EDIT: Ah, curse you, rightstuf!!! I picked up Stellvia Foundations 7 & 8 from DDD for $16.33 apiece after getting 2-6 from the sale, and now you add them in??? And may I add, A Little Snow Fairy: Sugar is a cute and wonderful series, even though it may seem childlike at first glance. The final episode is known for making people cry, even people who aren't sentimental saps like me.

This afternoon 40 of my Geneon DVDs arrived (should keep me busy while I wait for the other 60) along with a bunch of other DVDs that have been out for a couple of weeks (FMA 13, My Hime 4, and Gankutsuou 6) but were taking some time since Right Stuf has been busy. The final volume of GITS also arrived in a gorgeous tin that is even better than season 1. I didn't think they would make a big tin for the other tins to slide in. It looks like Right Stuf is catching up.
I also decided to order the Hajime DVDs that were added and noticed Stelliva volumes 7 and 8 are now on the site! I had a hard time filling in the other slots though and had to resort to CDs.

I hear bad things about both Cybuster and Ikki Tousen, but it was down to Beyblade, Battle Athletes, Burn Up Scramble, Demon Lord Dante, Hand Maid May, Mao Chan, Sugar, or Viewtiful Joe. I don't think I would be able to find another 25 DVDs out of these that I would even bother watching.

Gave in to temptation and made another order, once again collecting some anime I'd previously owned illegally:
Ai yori aoshi 1,3,4,5
Ai yori aoshi Ensishi 1,2,3 (with box and figures)
--finally gave up on finding the elusive LE Vol. 1 + box for the first season of AYA, and even if Geneon does someday release a boxed set, getting them this way will still be cheaper. Now, with the exception of the Area 88 OVA, I will finally have purchased legitimate DVDs for everything I'd ever owned as a bootleg.
Ah! My Goddess The Movie DTS version
Tsukihime, Lunar Legend 2 (vol. 3 was sold out, decided to find Vol. 1 + box elsewhere)
Ultramaniac OST Magical Songs

And isn't that impossible? Since the OVA's were never finished being released here on DVD......you could get the VHS! Maybe that in the rightstuf sale let me check....I also took a chance on Someday Dreamer....I am hoping it doesn't disappoint.....I am also realizing one problem now, I don't have anytime for anime. And yet I have all this new anime that I want to watch.....damn..

Area 88 was recently released by ADV on DVD. It consists of the first OAV and the second and third spliced together. I personally prefer the act breaks between two and three and there are a few scenes missing in the "movie" version of two and three. Most memorable is Mickey's Vietnam footage which has some cool jungle ambush shots in the original (the are in the preview for Act II, so I remember it clearly) that is missing in the movie. I also don't remember seeing Shin punching the runway in frustration in the movie, but have only seen the movie once late at night, while I saw the original three many times.
