Does anyone know how reliable Viz's website is? I checked the October releases, and Rurouni Kenshin Vol. 1 and One Piece Vol. 2 were listed as coming out this month - dispite advertising in Shonen Jump stating Nov. 20th releases.

I think they mean that they updated their site for October to tell you what's coming out in November.

not really related to thier website, but more to them overall... when are they going to be releasing more of the Evangelion Manga's, if any at all?

I don't consider Viz's website to be updated very thoroughly. I had to ask on the forum here when Ceres was coming out next because their website didn't have it listed at all.

In fact, they just re-did their website within the year to get rid of a lot of old stuff.

But hey, having a title or two pushed back a month is nothing new. It happens to all the publishers.

Yes, Viz's website annoys me. They don't have a regular schedule of when they're bringing products out... I like Tokyopop's site a LOT better.

Viz tends to only update their website for two occasions:

1) To link to a very big press release
2) To give a list of all their releases for the month without any specific dates

That's about it. What I find annoying is that they don't give any specific dates to their releases, just a vague list that says which month they're releasing. So for all I know the next volume of "Inuyasha" could be released at the beginning, middle or end of the month! I really wish Viz would update their website more often like Tokyopop does with theirs.

Although, ironically, I prefer Viz's titles over Tokyopop's. :wink:
