Hello all,
This is my first post though I've been registered for a little while now. I've been an off and on anime fan for about 13 years now, having first got into it around 93-94 when the Sci-Fi channel had an anime marathon featuring Robot Carnival, Lensman and Vampire Hunter D. Was a big fan for a while but around the turn of the century and millenium, I lost interest, though in recent years I watched series that got me interested in it all again. I'd like to hear any recommendations that might fit my preferences. I prefer intelligent anime with good storytelling that doesn't patronize me, but not anime that ends up being too dark and depressing, either. I like drama, but some of these 'seinen' anime I've seen seem to be hard-bent on making everything grim. I like character-driven anime and usually series that have a serial plot. I also like a mix of genres - comedy, drama, fantasy, etc. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! |

Hello. I recommend that you look at the "looking for anime" thread stickied at the top of the page since recommendation threads arent allowed.
