Ewwwwww. SAT vocab?

Well, maybe this'll appease those who are disappointed with kids reading manga instead of prose. Anime hyper Still, what a whore, TP.

Tokyopop is also working with Kaplan, the publisher of test-taking guides, on vocabulary-building world manga. The first threes volumes will be unabridged stories of Psy-Comm, Warcraft, and Van Von Hunter with over 300 words commonly tested in SAT examinations. The words will be highlighted, defined, and broken down for pronouncing.

As if our School Systems were failing bad enough.

I absolutely love Meg Cabot's books! But I wonder if the manga will still be good...

I used to like Meg Cabot a lot, but I find these days anything I read by her gets on my nerves. All of her characters talk the same, and she has this very...annoying habbit of having "I mean" in EVERY sentence she ever writes...

"I didn't do it. Steal the car, I mean."
"I looked at him. Cooper, I mean."

I noticed that ever since this manga thing was announced about a year or so ago, she's made a point of putting some sort of reference to manga in every one of her books. Conspiracy? Or just Cabot running out of ideas?

Either way I will not be looking into this, Avalon High was ok on its own and it should end there.
