Hope they're streaming it in 1080p.

Cool. I watched a trailer of it in my Toradora! dub set, and I am curious about Cardcaptor Sakura. I am glad to have a legal option to try it.

I hope so too. I don't want my eyes to bleed.

Highly doubt that considering that the series came out over a decade ago. I'll be surprised if this show is in 720p still it will be an upscale and not in a native resolution.

I am pretty sure NISA has a new HD remaster. It would be moronic for Crunchyroll to not stream the new remaster HD version.

Have you seen the Gundam Wing Blu Ray footage? Bebop? If it's on film, all you need is the negatives and you have a 1080i show. Weather CR shows it or they get the gimped versions to pursuade people to get the BD is beyond me.

As much as I'd like to see this dubbed, I'm still plenty happy I'll be able to see it at all. Thanks, CR. You guys are still awesome.

Eh, it was still worth dropping $200 on the blu-ray. Still, a classic like this should be seen by as many people as possible so way to go CR!

Guess we'll have to see then, I can't imagine anyone watching this now, I don't recall an "HD Remastered" being requested but I'm sure the sales won't be any good.

I don't think you know how well loved and cherished Sakura's been, even with that hacked up Cardcaptors floating around. It looks great on BD because Madhouse didn't screw around, they gave it the full works which is a treat for a decently long mahou shoujo series. I'm pretty sure some fans would have been upset if the BD wasn't licensed, and there's even people in this thread who've said they purchased it already.

As a late era cel-animated production, CCS should look quite good on BD. Madhouse even used 35mm film for it IIRC, unlike the 16mm film most commonly used for TV anime back then.
