I'm not fond of the character designs but when animated, it looks decent. I hope this will be faithful to the manga of course as this is one of my most anticipated series for Fall.

Gotta say, I'm not too big on creepy/horror/gore stuff. While this does sound interesting, the best thing (in my book) it has going for it is that it'll probably be a full story being animated. I'd be surprised if a long finished manga didn't get a full animation adaption.
Something really needs to grab me in the first episode. The last anime, that could be said to be similar to this, I tried out was Tokyo Ghoul. And, I dropped that one as that first episode was way too predictable...where it was already fighting my dislike of gore/horror elements.

Really hoped this would be voiced so I can hear Ms. Hirano.

Well, she hasn't been gone. At the very least, she's been voicing Fairy Tail's Lucy. Other recent roles I can remember are Paiman in Gatchman Crowds and a role in Witch Craft Works (forget who she played).
On the Haruhi front, she did record a song for the pachinko promo. And, I assume she'll probably be playing the character again for the Yuki anime.

It's official, so... yeah. Everyone has their dark side. Lucy Heartfilia is no different.

Seeing it animated, I do much accept the look now. And the gruesomeness of the manga still appears to be clearly intact, I do approve of that. I'll be checking it out at least (though I won't expect any surprises from the story; I've had this manga since Del Rey published it and read it multiple times), but hey, the animation looks pretty damn good.
I just saw RightStuf delisted yet another volume, think Kodansha will re-print it? They'd be fools to miss a potential tie-in this big if you ask me.

The manga is one of my top favorites. The anime I don't find as appealing based off the preview but I still look forward to it.

I know she hasn't been completely gone but she had only a few roles after the scandal. She's getting more and more. Plus the pachinko song which was a great possible indicator that the producers might reconsider with her getting her fame back.

Oh man, I haven't seen this series since it ran in Mixxzine. I never finished it, but the main character (I think they just called him Shin in Mixxzine?) looks different than I remember. May have to pick up the Kodansha version to refresh my memory. Still, I'll definitely be giving this one a watch!
Also, Aya Hirano as Migi? Interesting...

Man those parasyte/eye things look creepy and disgusting, and the animation looks great. Looks good, but I don't know if I'll check it out. The whole body horror stuff is a bit too much for me.
