Glad to see the Blood Franchise isn't forgotten in Japan after this series. Hopefully we'll get another Saya story sometime. I love the franchise.

So another anime is getting a stage play adaptation (not that's it a bad thing, but we've been seeing more news of these adaptation coming out of Japan more often).

@mdo7: I find that the stage plays that would be really difficult to stay true to the manga or anime essence would be those that are based off of fan service or harem titles.

Yep that is true and very problematic when it comes to stage adaptation.

I wouldn't want to be the guy who has to clean all the fake blood off the stage...

Will this be a Gallager-like experience, where everyone's going to have to be shield with giant sheets of plastic wrap? Razz

All joking aside, you could actually craft a compelling stage play from BLOOD-C's story, which at its core is a spoiler[psychological] drama, just with monsters involved in the plot. I'm very interested to see what direction they will take it in, especially with Fujisaki penning it himself.

The play will tell a new story linking the timeframes of the television series and film.
