Are Bootlegs exactly the same as regular Dvds except the audio and subs are crappy? I accidentally just found out I bought one since Naruto isnt licensed. I am just wondering if it is a genuine dvd, Just burned. Or if its gonna mess up my dvd player.

It most likely is a genuine DVD, if you're asking what the software is. That or a VCD. It most likely won't mess up your player (nothing that unplugging and replugging won't fix).
As far as quality goes, it's a mixed bag. Though I do not own any bootlegs, I have friends who don't have the same level of devotion.... and I've seen the run from looking like crap to looking indistinguishable from a real honest R1 release.
Though to be fair, I've seen a decent range of quality from the various distributors, as well....

I'd say yes, as much as a regular DVD lasts forever. Treat it nicely, and it'll hang around for a bit.

Bootlegs are illegal. "Regular" regioned DVDs aren't. That's the difference. Sometimes the quality is really ridiculously good on bootlegs. They're still illegal. But if it's on a DVD, then yes, it's a DVD. DVDs don't change, regardless of how legal they are. A DVD is a DVD. What part of that is confusing?
Bootlegs = illegal. End of discussion.
