How can it be considered a 'Marathon' if it's not 26 miles?

A 5k or a 10k are most definitely not marathons.
As a runner its a little annoying to see the word 'marathon' categorize any running event.
Anyways, that race swag looks pretty cool; I would love to see anime themed runs around where I live.

To be fair though, the term "marathon" is not found on the event's official site. The wording is closer to "road run".

Thank you for pointing this out. The wording of the article has been fixed.
