Cool, that means they can expand some content while still adapting most of the material to remain faithful to the story. I look forward to it.

So... is the talk program segment part of the 1 hour special or a seperate segment that follows the special. I'm thinking it's the latter, but I'm not entirely sure. Probably obvious to most people, but not to me. Can anyone clarify?

It sounds like more of an regular length episode + regular talk sow segment, not a 1 hr long anime finale.
