With Geneon leaving i'm worried about one title i've put off buying for years:

Cardcaptor Sakura.

Is there any type of boxset or bundle? I've seen the bundle on Anime Corner Store and I was wondering if there were anything cheaper/ non online store with them.

I keep seeing something about a Clow Book- with 9 discs...but I think it may be bootleg.

Any advice?

There is a Clowbox set and a Sakura box set. So they are legit.

I found those on Amazon.com. The Right Stuf didn't have a listing for the box sets, just the movies and the manga.

Hopefully this helps you. Get them while you can!

Keep in mins that CCS went out of print at the first of this year as well.

Pickings will be few.

Judging from DVDpricesearch.com, your best bet may be to get the Sakura Book Set and then volumes 1-9 individually, as it seems no store has the Clow book for a reasonable price. RightStuf used to have a bundle for the single discs, but apparently not anymore. If you can find somewhere with the 1-18 bundle, you may want to pick it up.

Yeah I ordered the 18 disc individual disc set off Rightstuf at the beginning of this year for $80. At that price it was a no brainer.

Here is link to it but sadly they are all sold out Sad

The CCS stuff expired a year ago, so finding it anywhere is fortunate. I'm wondering if Nelvana still has it.

thank you all for you're suggestions so far.

i'm still wondering what to do. A comic store near me has vol 1, 4, 6, 9, and 18 for $8 a piece. Should i try to grab those and hope to find the others?

My parents aren't willing (now) to order this offline.

Well, you probably won't have great luck finding it in local stores - so I'd grab those when you can, and maybe if/when your parents allow it, try and snag some cheaper used ones from the internet, and your collection will finish off eventually.

If I were you if you haven't already I would buy those TODAY. Some of the volumes you mentioned are easier to find than others, but volume 18 - for instance - is the final volume and is not only harder to find but has sold on ebay for some annoying reason in the $20 to $50 price range. If you are serious about collecting the whole show you should not miss that kind of pricing. I, myself, have collected 7 of the volumes of the series and some of the ones I'm missing are ones you've mentioned -- including that final volume. I've been trying to get at them for a while now and have failed. Please take my advice and buy them for yourself.

The only other more reasonable option is to buy the whole series from the Anime Corner Store online for around $260... and that's a LOT of money. Too much for me at least.

If they still have them when i get home next weekend i'll buy them all. I could probably trade/sell the others to help with my search of the sets.

Yeah its a lot for me too. Confused

If you plan on getting them just to sell them towards getting the season sets Geneon released (if you can find them), depending on how much you want for it, I would feel blessed to be able to buy volume eighteen from you. I have literally spent hours browsing the web for a semi-decent price for it. When I've seen it sell on ebay for around $25-30 I have always regretted not getting it. At this point I have also gotten volumes 15 and 16 and a local store has three more volumes I need. After buying those volumes, I should only have 6 volumes left to collect which amazes me very much. I have worked hard trying to collect this show... but it's worth it.

Yeah, thanks for this! I would also LOVE to get volumes 15 and 16. Those are the top priority items for me right now.

In addition to that, I need Volumes 7, 13, and 17. (And of course Vol. 18).

I had ordered Vol. 15 + 16 from FYE.com last night used and they cancelled my order this afternoon and said that they were out of stock. It's made me pretty upset... I was really looking forward to getting those. Sad
Plus, I'd ordered another item just to fill up my order amount for free shipping/discount and they shipped and charged me for that. Anime dazed

It's a shame this series went out of print when it did. I'd have bought it just for the colorfulness of the spines...
