I wish they'd update the status of the Angel Beats! 1st Beat visual novel in English, which they acknowledged(*) at Anime Central last year.

(* - I wouldn't say they "announced" it, since it only came up in replying to a question)

Now, the question. Do I celebrate the announcment of another Key anime and double so since it's focused on quite possibly the cutest thing ever, or do I sigh and hang my head becasue it'll probably be crap produced on a low budget by an incompetent studio like Little Busters and Rewrite were.

I spose JC Staff will probably the the studio theypick since they'll already have some degree of character rights. I wonder what their budget for production (see: the loose change they can find behind the sofa cushions) is gonna be....

Isn't Kud Wafter supposed to be substantially more "adult" than Little Busters?

Very much so. There's not much story to it, even less than Tomoyo After. Even as a big Little Busters fan I'm not interested in this one bit. I'd much rather have an actually competent animated adaptation of the Rin2 arc which JC Staff massively, massively, screwed up.

EX had an ero scene with each heroine's route.

Kud Wafter has like 20 ero scenes with Kud. Not at all comparable.

I'm kinda conflicted. Little Busters! was done poorly but Refrain was done really well. Rewrite was done horribly. But I love Kud....

I disagree with your assessment of those two shows but I do wish we could get more kyoani/key

I don't care what it's about. It's safe to say no one is more excited about this show than I am!

Spasibo!

While they didn't do a huge press announcement at the AX Key Dinner I was at they mentioned it was at 50% translated, but they are releasing LB first.

Little Busters' anime was superior to the VN in every away. And not low budget at all LOL.

KyoAni is the true crappy studio lol.
