Given the massive popularity of KF in Japan, clearly a lot people who aren't whiny crybabies about visual quality.

The cheap 3D is part of the charm though. It's fine as is, and I'm normally anti-CG in anime. Heck, I'd hesitate at simply adding more budget to the 3D in the show.
