I am really glad that Yen Press took a chance on this series and brought it over here.
While it is very much in line with many of the D&D novels that are available out there, it is also quite distinctly its own thing; with its brutal portrayal of the Goblins (a nice contrast from how Grimgar handles them). And it sounds like this volume continues to take what made the first one great and push it further along while simultaneously developing characters and the world they live in. It reminds me of some of my favourite light novels - Haruhi Suzumiya and Spice & Wolf - and how they utilized their casts to wonderfully expand the world, while still staying within a manageable scope and scale. I'm looking forward to the release of Volume 3. |

Not sure I want to read the light novels now, as I am already reading the manga chapters.
Love this series, can't wait for more chapters to be released. I will probably read the LN's after the manga arc chapters are combined into a volume release. |
