Very fun show, but the greater focus on narrative exemplify my main issue I had with S1, that Yagami is presented as some sort of unrivaled design genius when her work seen in the show is really mundane and unremarkable. Yagami design getting rejected is seen as some sort of big reversal of expectation but what she actually presented would hardly even qualify for the laziest of mobile F2P.
This made some situation very strange, when Aoba and Yagami go against each other in a poster context the ultimate revelation of Yagami design is supposed to be so extraordinarily better than Aoba version that Aoba immediately realize that she lost upon seeing it. But Yagami version is so uninteresting and doesn't inform the customer about what kind of game it actually is while Aoba is technically less impressive but has a far more interesting design. I can't see any company going with Yagami version, so it all add up to a feeling that the company they work as bare bone ambition.

Surprised that the review doesn't mention Nenechi's and Umiko's furthering bond as well as the heavy amount of focus Nene gets throughout the season, and Rin have so little screentime.
