Looking at the manga volumes a second season makes sense.

Well this is actually quite not surprising, I wonder how much change in content Season 2 will have compared to the original series.

Also, the fact that a second season got confirmed seems to have increased Sentai's chances of dubbing Season 1. They even teased it.

I guess now I'm not surprised they're making a part two. Now TMM New having 12 episodes initially makes sense. Though that begs the question: Why didn't they just decide to make the whole series 24 episodes to begin with since that's what they had planned rather than splitting them into two parts?

Kind of seemed to be leading that way with the way they were pacing things out, but happy to hear it all the same!

Also cool they did a cover of the original Opening.

Probably easier on the staff production wise.

Because the exploitative anime industry is incapable of barely piecing together 12 episodes without constant crunch?

I’m so glad to hear this!

I just watched the last episode of S1 and it was so good with a really sweet ending.

Not a surprise, but still nice to have confirmation. Looking forward to season 2. (And fingers crossed for a third season to adapt à la Mode!)

Hopefully we get a dub soon.

I pretty much expected they would do a s2 with the way it took them half a cour to introduce the entire group and they hadn't introduce the main villain yet. This show is also being made to market the seiyuu cast as a new idol group as much as it is to be a new adaptation of the manga. It's good to have this confirmed and I also hope they'll announce a dub soon.

Yea, makes sense; the main villain wasn't even part of the first set.
