Well, Hopefully the fact it performed well enough to get a second 24 episode order just after finishing the first will encourage a western licenser to pick it up… and sub the first season now, there’s a disappointingly small number of orchestra-focused Anime, with only sound, euphonium! coming immediately to mind.

Yet it's not even licensed in North America. Sad. Hopefully it gets picked up now.

There aren´t enough volumes to make another season of the same length and the manga´s release schedule slowed down. They would need to wait at least another year to restart production and the adapted pacing would need to remain as glacial (6 volumes and 1 chapter got stretched here into 24 eps) unless they cut down the order to 1 cour.
Those Snow White Notes pushed through 7.66 volumes with exactly half the ep count but it cut stuff and moved at Mach 10. Sound Euphonium S1 turned one single light novel into 13 eps so music anime comes in all sizes, I guess. And budget sizes. NHK anime is rarely a Sakuga feast but this show is kinda fuggly. One can´t expect too much from the Chibi Maruko-chan studio.

Sorry, but I’m not watching this again. The mid episodes already frustrated me…
