OK, this is nice to see and hear. Although I liked to address one thing:

Finally, the "Kids Anime" channel will feature child-oriented franchises such as Bakugan and Beyblade.

Uh, there are a lot more kid anime out there (that are already licensed in the US) you can put on there although I understand you're probably focusing on kids anime that are already dubbed. It would really helped if you have a subtitled section for kids with above-average reading level if they want to challenge themselves when it comes to practicing reading using subtitled.

Pluto's really building up a solid collection of anime FAST channels at this point...
I remember back in the day the very idea of a "24/7 TV channel on the internet" seemed somewhat farfetched, let alone "anime-exclusive 24/7 TV channels on the internet" lol.

I wonder how many people are casually browsing these things and discovering some shows these days...

Honestly, going onto the HiDive channel and seeing an episode of Clannad playing kinda warms my heart. Smile

Fire up a Roku, look at anime briefly, and soon the home screen will recommend livestreams of Saint Tail, Devil Lady, and Key the Metal Idol.

I'm just wondering if they're ever going to add more Pokemon. They supposedly got the rights to the whole series but they updated the lineup one time to add the remainder of Johto to the rotation like a month after the channel went up and there's been zero sign of anything past that ever since.

Really makes me wonder if there's just some weird rights issue that's arisen with the Hoenn seasons or something because they're not available anywhere anymore.

That's a pretty solid line-up.

That’s cool. Sadly in the UK version of Pluto TV, we seem to be stuck with Saint Seiya (one of the later series that is absolutely incomprehensible without knowing the lore ^^’ ), and the golf anime Tonbo. Here’s hoping we get more channels and programming soon!

Not that I don't think that there wouldn't be value in kids practicing reading with subtitled anime, but I imagine that for the average kid, the last thing they're gonna wanna do while watching TV is read so that doesn't seem like a realistic prospect, not to mention that not every kid is that good of a reader and it makes sense to prioritize accessibility by sticking with stuff that has dubs.

If anything the actual issue here is that not enough kid targeted anime is dubbed these days outside of the handful of ongoing franchises like Pokemon or Beyblade. Would be nice if more was done to address that since it'd be nice if there was more of a bridge between those shows and the average battle shonen. Especially since the latter tends to be dubbed with older audiences in mind these days rather than younger kids.

I believe they used to have a kids anime channel called Anime All Ages but got rid of it at one point.

I personally like the Pokemon FAST channel because it's only the classic Ash Misty Brock episodes from my childhood and it's comfort food for me to fall asleep too, though I understand people want the whole show.

You're not wrong for saying that. But there's already enough research and a good conclusion that subtitles/closed caption seem to really help kids, and yes even turning on CC/SDH subtitles even when the spoken audio is/are in English, they're still watch it with the subtitle on. I mean most if not almost all of Gen Z has turned on CC/subtitle for their programming no matter what spoken audio language it set on. So that means there must be young kids as young as seven that might have already been watching their favorite kid program with CC/subtitles on.

Hell, when my niece was 7 years old, she was already reading subtitles stuff on TV and streaming (yep, that includes anime even with Japanese audio), and to my surprise when I turned on Ultra Seven and some anime, she can nail the subtitle like they weren't a problem to her even if the spoken audio is not in English. At age 9, I even put on Nausicaa with Japanese audio with English subtitles, and she never even faltered at all when it comes to subtitles. So my niece is one of the I don't know how many young kids out there that have above-average reading level skill out there, if my niece can read subtitled anime at a very young age, then there maybe other kids out there that may have this same level of above-average reading skill out there that might want to have subtitled anime out there. That's why I want a seperate channel on Pluto TV dedicated to subtitled kids anime so any kids with that high level of reading skill can watch those anime.

Oh, you're not wrong and I agree with this. The problem is you got Crunchyroll, & Discotek picking up kids anime and whether they're from another decade or something recently, there are kids anime that Discotek and CR picked up that never gotten or never had an English dub. For example, The Wonderful Adventures of Nil Holgersson is a 1980 kid anime that never had an English dub when Discotek picked it up for US release. You also got kid anime that are partially dubbed like for example, Saint Tail, only 15 out of 43 episodes are dubbed, the rest you have to watched it subtitled. I can say the same for some of the kids anime that CR has picked up in their catalog like for example, Precure franchise, I don't think any of the recent Precure titles that CR picked up have any English dub at all. So yeah, you have kid anime that are being picked up and not getting dubbed.

This is why I want a separate channel for kid anime on Pluto TV, so these kid anime titles that don't have English dub can find an audiences with our younger audiences with above-average reading level and I know there's a kid demographic that might have the same reading level like my niece when she was 7/8 years old.

Figured someone should mention that at the time of me writing this comment the Pluto Comedy channel is only airing the Ghost Stories anime. And it's not even the english dub.
