Fun fact: It's taken longer to release 2 Hathaway films than it did to release all 7 episodes of Gundam Unicorn.

Murase can take as long as he likes if the movies continue to look this good and handle the source material this well

Hope this also comes out here in Mexico not long after the US release. The last few things we have received in cinemas here have always been spoiled by the time we get them.

Or to be a bit more specific: 6 years for these two Hathaway films (will there be a third?) versus 5 years for all of Unicorn; or 4 years for the six Origin movies; also 4 years for the five Reconguista movies.
It’s a long wait. It would probably be more tolerable if we were still getting full-length series. As bad as 5 years is, we haven’t had a big TV anime in 10.

It would be great if we could get the first movie on Blu-Ray.
Or really any Gundam on Blu-Ray, at this point.

Huh, The Witch from Mercury Crunchyroll BDs are OOP already?
Made the huge mistake of giving away the DVD for 0080 before I bought the BD.

Pretty much all of the Gundam BDs are OOP since Crunchy gobbled Rightstuf. Even stuff like ReRise. We haven't even heard any updates re the stuff we were supposed to be getting like the announced SD stuff like Sangokuden BBW, etc.

They aren´t phoning it in at all but I wish that the director would choose worthy source material for all this effort. Shukou Murase going all in on 5/10 scripts is sadly his lot in life, outside of Ergo Proxy. Having him do novel accurate takes on All You Need Is Kill or Starship Troopers would have led to genre-defining classics. Maybe in the 2030s. Sunrise returning to over 3-decade-old light novels is kinda cool but Tomino wrote far better stuff. At least he is alive to see it.
