So glad that it's back, and equally fascinated with TYE ability to reinvent itself. Considering that we are about the halfway point of the source material, it's very likely this is not the last transformation. Seems like current arc might be about Mizuha's attempt to overcome Nanase's will and/or Nanase's soul finally getting some peace. Or maybe not, we might get hit with some narrative curveball at any random point, that's why I love it.
Shame about all the production woes. If not for them, TYE would have potential to become modern classic, or at least a semi-hidden gem.

I really, really love Past arc, Gugu and Bon were my favorite stories (yes, even when Bon was at his peak clown mode) I understood both characters more than I care to admit.
However, I really, really hated Modern arc during serialization, the pacing was awful... but I liked the concept/conflict of it, yeah, we "solved" the main conflict of the Past by letting Fushi hunt every last one of them... but that isn't the end, what's next? What is next for the Immortals? It's interesting and seeing it in anime form has been way better than reading 10 pages and then wait 3-4 weeks for the next 10-13 pages.

Crazy how the first two episodes were almost a comedy while the third was nearly psychological horror. I couldn't even believe it when grandpa casually wanted the girl to join his sect. I thought the creepy character was the mother but this sure escalated. Judging by the opening and second episode, this might be some sort of rivalry against Hayase's crazy lineage and whether or not Fushi can end it.

He doesn't want to end it, he didn't hate Kahaku during the Past arc.
That's why he asked Mizuha is she was happy in this world. He does have conflicting feelings about Hayase's descendants.

I was always confused about what to think about Kahaku in season 2. He was in love with Fushi who never either approved it or denied. Fushi never seemed to understand the concept of love except for that time he was amazed by a doll. Kahaku never became part of Fushi unlike the rest of the guys from season 2 and chose his death when the knockers almost killed him.

This season will give you an answer on how his descendants saw him and what him meant to Fushi.

I'm pretty sure you wrote that for the joke and you know he wasn't embarrassed because he wanted to dress up cute, but because his ignorance of gender presentation biases got him caught buying clothes for Mizuha. It was more a "hand in the cookie jar" sort of embarrassment. Getting defensive and saying it was for himself was all he could think of to cover what he was up to.
Sadly, I think that new awareness led him to laugh his ass off at Tonari in a frilly dress. Not because she looked funny to him (Fushi seems generally uninterested in how people look or dress, including himself), but because he thinks of Tonari as being more boyish and, as he just learned, boys (and tomboys) in frilly dresses are considered funny by others. His hysterical laughter also felt performative to me -- when have we ever seen Fushi react to anything with more than a smile or chuckle? (maybe I just don't remember, but it seemed a bit forced and ooc to me)

Today's episode did it. I always thought Kahaku was kinda hated due to what nukkers used him but Even March considered him part of the group. I know the Fushi was joking about him wearing female clothes to hide Mizuha but it reminded me of how Fushi kept changing forms in season 2 often to women but never identified himself as a guy or woman. He still never experienced the idea of romantic love neither. The fact that he keeps the male body is obviously because he remembers the last will of the unnamed youth from episode 1 though

Fushi does identifies himself as a guy. He calls himself as March's son and Gugu's little brother. However he is asexual (or turtlesexual) the only time he had any sexual interaction was as a pregnant turtle.

Hayase basically ruined that for him, being chased for Eternity (heh) basically killed his desire to get some romance for himself. He loves his Immortal Family and that's more than enough for him.

I really liked seeing Fushi's interactions at school. He was having really fun interacting with other students which heavily contrasts his angst that we used to see in previous seasons. Of course things are gonna escalate but I think the opening kinda spoils what happened to Fushi's creator that Bon made fun of. Still, I don't really undestand how Bon is able to provide so much money for the family since they all had to start school (is the grandfather a millionare?). Still, if I were to complain about something is how Gugu keeps hiding his face like if we forgot much it bothered him in season 1 but everybody wanted to show it.

Bon has money from the Tasty Peach Foundation, which is an organisation that that upholds the royal family from ancient Uralis. They knew Bon would revive in the future because I guess Bon told them before dying of old age

Bon was already a Prince of the biggest Kingdom on the Old World, he basically has Royal Family of England kind of money to throw around.
Bon, Tonari, Messar, Gugu and Kai spent 50+ years post FushiTree spreading Fushi's religion (also Kahaku's descendants but a little bit different).

I will get hate for this, but there were better choices for Fushi to resurrect than annoying March, who could take some lessons on how to behave from Renge Miyauchi. Fushi should not concern himself with what someone so immature thinks.

I didn't remember this happening when you posted it, but I forget a lot. So, are you a manga reader posting spoilers, or did the series decide to have him repeat that experience in this episode?

Oh yeah, it was a spoiler, my bad. I placed it in the same timeframe that Fushi spent alone in the island after Pyoran's death.
A lot of important Fushi moments have been connected to the sea so I got them mixed up.
