So this mean Battle Royale (and probably Battle Royale 2) will probably get a general 4K UHD BD in the near future. That's good news

Oh, and given that this is the same Lionsgate Studio that is also responsible for The Hunger Games which itself has been compared to Battle Royale (both the films and the novels), I wonder if Lionsgate can release a 2-movie collection blu-ray or 4K UHD BD consist of Battle Royale and The Hunger Games (the first film). I don't mind introducing Lionsgate release that 2-movie collection to help Hunger Games fans make a connection to Battle Royale.

I'm not counting on Battle Royale 2 to get a 4K remaster. The fact that it's not included here like it was on the original Anchor Bay sets and also on Arrow's UK 4K set in 1080p, says to me they're not putting that one out here again.

Maybe, or maybe not. Uh, I wouldn't be surprise if Battle Royale 2 got a 4K UHD BD, I mean even the worse Jaws films sequel got 4K UHD BD last year. So we don't know if Battle Royale 2 could get a 4K UHD BD release in the near future.

But you're correct, Battle Royale 2 hasn't gotten a 4K UHD release anywhere including Japan, and we don't know if it will. But we've seen bad sequels can even get 4K UHD release before, so don't rule it out yet.
