Only if its use was intentional. Prop departments tend to squirrel away random objects for use where the original source was long forgotten. The real thing may have ended up in Korea or this may be some random good conduct medal with an unfortunate resemblance. It would require a certain type of stupidity to intentionally use Nazi symbolism in a show with an international audience.

And then in the Gundam series they use to displaying Nazi-esque symbols, banners, flags for Zeon and nobody seems to care.
A real anecdote: years ago, some guys in a display of Z Gundam characters flew a Zeon flag, in a manga convention and they were asked if they were Nazis. |

I think that makes more sense at least because Gundam is a dramatic war opera, comparing the fascist military group to Nazis seems very intentional and as a part of the point. Meanwhile this is a romance drama where I'm pretty sure the MC character falls for a seemingly villainous man from the empire. Even though liking an empire soldier is supposed to be dangerous, it would be pretty weird to say the least if the hot bad boy empire soldier was supposed to be comparable to Nazis. |
