And thank God for that! Watching Gachiakuta has been like a breath of fresh air, which is ironic considering it's literally about people with magic trash powers who live in a giant landfill.

Nice. This is a shonen series that just gets everything right. Who would've imagined that a story about trash dwellers could be so stylish and compelling?

Just watched the whole series last night [first 13 episodes], this morning [next 8 episodes] and finished tonight with the last 3 episodes. Definitely looking forward to the second season! I hope to see some SH Figuarts, Nendoroids and Figma figures made for the main characters, in particular I'd like Enjin and Riyo.
Also I know Taku Iwasaki has made great soundtracks for various many different anime series, but Gachiakuta might be one of my new favorite anime soundtracks. Really liked the mix between metal and hip hop tracks throughout the episodes. |
