The concept seems awesome.
The trailer made it look annoying. We'll see. |

It reminds me of Tougen Anki character wise so I am going to be cautious. I am a bit over annoying characters.

Episode 1
I liked it. And the premise has real resonance for ANN posters like us. For example, *if* I should die (and that's a mighty big if), would my Blood- account turn into a ghost??? Would Edjwald take a sip of his coffee only to discover to his horror that *somebody* had replaced his favourite full-bodied blend with decaf? Would he hear ghostly maniacal laughter as he spit the abomination out of his mouth??? Heh. Anyway, looks like it'll be fun. |

I also liked it a fair bit. The premise of dead accounts turning into ghosts is quite interesting and should provide in all types of baddies. Souji surprised me as a main character in that he is only slightly annoying as of now. He figured out the correct course of action relatively quickly and was not shouting all that much. Hopefully exorcist school will be an interesting place.

Jeez, Blood's ramblings gave me more chills than Serial Experiments Lain, much less this anime
This anime is more adventure than horror. I agree that the MC was nowhere near as annoying as I was afraid he would be based on the trailer. His legit grief was easy to empathize with and didn't seem contrived even though this doesn't seem like an emotional heavyweight kind of a show. The premise does indeed have potential for a wide variety of ghosts and social media tropes, and it's set up to be fun. |

This gave me a mix of Bleach and Blue Exorcist vibes. Ironically enough, the main character is also the seiyuu for Rin in the latter. The whole "digital ghost" theme feels pretty unique in itself, though. As rampant as social media is today, depending on how the story goes, I think this'll have enough to help separate it from other titles in the shounen pool.

The second episode was another fun one though I have a complaint. I liked the fight for showcasing that while Souji has a rare ability he is still very much a beginner. Showing the rather gruesome end of his sister with the message that something caused it is quite effective for setting up a long term goal. The school meanwhile seems like a fun place with all kinds of characters. My complaint has to do with a lot of said characters being very tropey and overly quirky. It felt like a competition to appear as special as possible. |

I'm in on this. That's one sweet looking school... I wish my high school had resembled a hot springs inn, too. I look forward to learning more about the other characters. Fun title.

The pairing of the quirky, over emoting MC with the strait-laced, no nonsense perfectionist is pretty classic - Haiku, Jujitsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, etc - but the strait laced perfectionist in this pair hides a surprising amount of nonsense barely stuffed down, and the pairing is classic for a reason.
I enjoyed this episode - it took the momentum generated by episode 1 and ran with it. I also found the MC's attempts to deal with grief empathizable (I know it's not a word, but it is now), like the way he was trying to force a smile on his face and looking like he was about to break. Smurky, I gather that the takeaway here is that exorcists are a special breed and nuttier than a Christmas Fruitcake. Which, considering what they do for a living, has more justification for a weird cast than the average high school rom com. But yah, I'm still staying skeptical until the cast gets expanded, which should be next week. |

The cast got some attention this week but the main focus was on the MC not ending up on a slab or in a torture chamber. He succeeded in the end, though I expected his flames to go through some kind of transformation or for him to create a low energy using move. It also seems like some of the other students and teachers may be bigger issues than the Dead Accounts. Their first mission is sure to go smoothly.... |

I continue to dig this. I find it a little hard to believe that Enishiro really would have been tortured and killed if he failed, but who knows? Geez, exorcism seems a harsh biz. So I'm guessing the "team" for next week's mission is Enishiro, his foul-mouthed room-mate and the sourpuss chick with purple hair. Fun!

Ummm...so Shizuma's a flame baiter, and his power is flame based.
The flame seems to be the same as the kind that killed his sister and apparently also killed the mother or twin brother or fiancé of the exorcist with the glasses. Either that or the guy's horoscope sign is Hemorrhoid. And I'm wondering, does Shizuma have the same power because he seems to draw strength from being despised, or is it because of some kind of psychic connection with the sister who was killed by it? The whole thing about Shizuma being motivated to hunt down the thing that killed his sister is pretty primal plot fodder, and it works. So yeah, I'm in. Three episodes and the show has proved it's got some legs as far as I'm concerned. |

Best episode thus far by a significant margin. The Souji squad composing of three toxic people makes for a lot of fun, especially now that they have all fully embraced being as such. That includes Kiyomi who has no right to call the personality of anyone bad since she is pretty rotten herself. The fight with the rather creepy ghost was fun and graphic, that includes said ghost having a severe potty mouth. Add the appearance of sad boy at the end and I am pretty excited to see more. |

Not only that, but now that we know the MC's blue flames can't harm the living, that creepo exorcist with the glasses is sure to see the error of his ways and leave our MC alone from now on!
I dropped Tamon's B-side last week, so it was pretty fun seeing another feral fan crop up. It's a humorous trope I haven't seen that much of since I generally avoid idol tropes like the plague, or if I did see one, it was usually a male fan boy whose shtick was limited to buying gear and going to all the concerts. The female feral fan plays a little different for some reason. I wasn't expecting to see sad boy show up this soon. . |
